First, It's a pretty good day since the Redskins won...YAY.
Now I'm sure you know that there is a new Star Trek film in the works right? Well for those of you living under rocks or those of you that have real lives and no time for sitting around, looking up stuff on the internet, I'm here for ya. So anyway the Star Trek film is being produced and directed by JJ Abrams of "Alias" and "Lost" fame as well as many others. The cast will be all new actors playing the parts of the original crew. The only one I really care about is "Scotty". He was always my favorite when I was a kid. As it turns out they made a good casting choice in my opinion. Simon Pegg of "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" fame will be plaing the part of Montgomery Scott. The film is due out Christmas 2008.
Also in 2008, July 11 to be precise, "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army" hits the theaters. I loved the first one. So I'm excited about this one. Ron Perlman is awesome as Hellboy. Good cast as a whole I'd say. If you haven't seen the first one you should. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
May 16, 2008 brings us "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian". I am looking forward to this one as well. Again I'm a fan of the first Narnia film and hope this one lives up to expectations.
"The Dark Knight" hits theaters July 18, 2008. The sequel to "Batman Begins" reunites Christopher Nolan (director), with Christian Bale (Batman/Bruce Wayne). Heath Ledger play The Joker. I've heard some audio clips of Heath Ledger as The Joker and he sounds creepy. I'm a fan so we'll see.
Last but not least, they just finished filming the latest Indiana Jones movie. "Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is scheduled for release in May 2008. Cate Blachett, Shia LeBeouf , and Karen Allen star with Harrison Ford. It appears that Karen Allen is reprising her role of Marion Ravenwood from "Raiders of the Lost Ark". I love this series so I have high hopes for this one.
There are more movies to talk about but I'll save those for another post.

Today is a sad day in my world. My Washington Redskins lost to the Green Bay Packers 17-14. Anytime the Redskins lose it's a sad day for me. Been that way since I was a wee kid. But they are still my team, win or lose and there is always next week. *sigh* I have gotten better at taking losses though. When I was a teen if they lost I used to go to my room, slam the door and stay in there for hours and I wouldn't talk to my mom for the rest of the day (Sorry Mom).
