Looking Forward

So I'm looking forward to a couple things. One is getting my glasses so that I can actually see again. Even though I am sure they will be "BC" Glasses. I really need them! I'm also looking forward to the movie Suckerpunch". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrIiYSdEe4E has a trailer. Check it out! The new Transformers movie looks good too.

Online History

I discovered a pretty cool online magazine. For all you history fans out there, especially those of the 18th Century, it's tavernhorn.com. Currently there is an article about a "Colonial Christmas at Fort Niagra"

Check it out!

I'm still alive and kicking...kinda

So, I know it's been awhile. About three years actually. Been through some "stuff" these past years. I'll try to be better about keeping up here. Writing about things I care about. My last entry in '07 mentioned "Dollhouse" beginning and the new "X-Files" movie supposedly in the works. Well "Dollhouse" is gone ( good show though), and the "X-Files movie was disappointing. Another good show, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" lasted only 2 seasons. Still watching "Bones" and am addicted to "Fringe" now too. "Son's Of Anarchy", "MI-5" and "True Blood" are good as well. It is 5am now so I'm gonna git.

2 Things I'm Excited About

Hey, Hey, just checking in with 2 things I'm very excited about and just had to share.  One is a long time coming...finally they have announced that there will be a second X Files movie!  Yay!  The second is pretty good too.  Joss Whedon and Eliza Dushku who played Faith in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" will be teaming up for a new TV series called "Dollhouse".

WOOT! WE MUST GO!!!

Okay those of you that know me know that I am just a little kid at heart.  So you also know that when I get excited about something, I get REALLY excited about it.  Well my friends I ask you to make room on your 2009 calanders for a trip to Orlando, Florida for the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!  A theme park that immerses the fan in the world of The Boy Who Lived!  Go to the site and check  it out.  It looks AWESOME!  I hope I'm well by then, but even if I'm not I'd still like to stroll along the village of Hogsmeade, venture into the Forbidden Forest and of course wander the halls of Hogwarts.

Stuff I Want To Talk About

First, It's a pretty good day since the Redskins won...YAY.

Now I'm sure you know that there is a new Star Trek film in the works right?  Well for those of you living under rocks or those of you that have real lives and no time for sitting around, looking up stuff on the internet, I'm here for ya.  So anyway the Star Trek film is being produced and directed by JJ Abrams of "Alias" and "Lost" fame as well as many others.   The cast will be all new actors playing the parts of the original crew.  The only one I really care about is "Scotty".  He was always my favorite when I was a kid.  As it turns out they made a good casting choice in my opinion.  Simon Pegg of "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" fame will be plaing the part of Montgomery Scott.  The film is due out Christmas 2008.

Also in 2008, July 11 to be precise, "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army" hits the theaters.  I loved the first one.  So I'm excited about this one.  Ron Perlman is awesome as Hellboy.  Good cast as a whole I'd say.  If you haven't seen the first one you should.  I don't think you'll be disappointed.

May 16, 2008 brings us "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian".  I am looking forward to this one as well.  Again I'm a fan of the first Narnia film and hope this one lives up to expectations.

"The Dark Knight" hits theaters July 18, 2008.  The sequel to "Batman Begins" reunites Christopher Nolan (director), with Christian Bale (Batman/Bruce Wayne).  Heath Ledger play The Joker.  I've heard some audio clips of Heath Ledger as The Joker and he sounds creepy.  I'm a fan so we'll see.

Last but not least, they just finished filming the latest Indiana Jones movie.  "Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is scheduled for release in May 2008.  Cate Blachett, Shia LeBeouf , and Karen Allen star with Harrison Ford.  It appears that Karen Allen is reprising her role of Marion Ravenwood from "Raiders of the Lost Ark".  I love this series so I have high hopes for this one.

There are more movies to talk about but I'll save those for another post.

She's 10!

Today is my God Daughters 10th B-Day!  So... Happy 10th B-Day Sweetie!!!   I love you!

Sniffle...

Today is a sad day in my world.  My Washington Redskins lost to the Green Bay Packers 17-14.  Anytime the Redskins lose it's a sad day for me.  Been that way since I was a wee kid.  But they are still my team, win or lose and there is always next week. *sigh*  I have gotten better at taking losses though.  When I was a teen if they lost I used to go to my room, slam the door and stay in there for hours and I wouldn't talk to my mom for the rest of the day (Sorry Mom).

First Post

Okies so this is my first ever post. I figured all the cool kids (my friends) were doing it so there must be something to it, right? Feel free to friend me and I'll try to do the same back at 'ya.

I want to wish Charles a Happy 10th Birthday!
